AbstractThe paper provides the technique based on theories of stochastic forecasting of parameter drift. It allows not only to estimate error-free running time of the NPP equipment, but also to specify the reasons of possible origin of emergency situations. The work shows the development of forecasting methods in the part of expanding the class of probability distribution laws used in them, which makes it possible to improve the accuracy of the forecast.
